WhichAICoder API

Short answer: GET https://whichaicoder.com/api/v1/tools.json returns all 37 AI coding tools we track, with pricing tiers, the vendor source URL for every price, the date we last checked it, and where each tool ranks in our 11 use cases. Free, no key, CORS enabled, regenerated on every site build.

Endpoints

URL	What it returns
`/api/v1/tools.json`	Tools (37), hosting and automation services (11) and use-case categories (11).
`/api/v1/shipped.json`	Our "What shipped" log: dated releases and pricing changes, each with a source link.
`/api/v1/sources.json`	The pricing pages, changelogs and outbound links our monitor checks daily.

Fields (tools.json)

Field	Meaning
`tool_id`	Stable slug, same as the /tools/{tool_id}/ page
`name`	Product name
`categories`	Use cases the tool is ranked in: our published score (preliminary, out of 100), rank and role (pick / runner-up / budget). Tools listed but not scored yet have score null and status "hands-on test pending"
`caveat`	Plain-language warning we show on the site (e.g. ad-supported, trains on your sessions), with caveat_source
`pricing_summary`	The pricing sentence as shown on the site, copied from the vendor page
`pricing_tiers`	pricing_summary split into tiers; usd_per_month is only set when the vendor text states a monthly figure, otherwise null
`has_free_tier / entry_paid_usd_month`	Derived from pricing_tiers (cheapest stated monthly paid figure)
`source_urls`	Vendor pages the price was copied from
`last_checked`	Date (YYYY-MM-DD) we last checked the price against the source
`affiliate / link`	Whether we have an affiliate link for the tool (it never affects scores) and the URL we link to
